WAG members have been shown an aerial photograph of a field in north Devon. It contains an interesting set of parch marks. It is hoped that WAG members will do a geophysical survey of this field over the weekend of September 3/4th. More details about accommodation and travel will be available in August.
We had a long weekend in Devon in the September. The weather started wet and got worse. The only advantage of the site was that you could see if the squalls would miss you or if you had to run for cover! We did a lot of geophysics, mainly resistivity but the results were inconclusive although there is a hint of the parch marks in part of the record. Thanks to Clive and Terri who brought their caravan to the site and regaled us with steaming mugs of tea and coffe and also food!
