We started work at this site in May 2005. There will be two phases to this project. The first is to excavate around the mill building to try to find the machine shop and other related buildings as well as to try to estimate the size of the mill wheel. The second, which will probably be done in the autumn, is to make a landscape survey of the area so that the water management system can be documented.
Regrettably, we were not able to do the landscape survey but the walls around the mill were drawn as well as the bridge at the far end of the mill pond.
