WAG digs - what you need to know
Before you take part in any WAG outside activities, it is important for your safety to
- join WAG
- make sure your antitetanus vaccination is up to date
- let the organiser know you are coming
WAG has an insurance policy which covers members for employers liability
and also has limited personal accident cover.
Gerard's Bromley
There will be no work undertaken at this site until a project has been authorised by the committee.
The Saggar works at Caughley
Work is now completed for this year. Hopefully there will be a further dig, perhaps in 2005.
Gnosall
We continued the dig from last year in April. Now, in August, trench 1 has been extended to follow an area of rubble and
a second trench has been opened to investigate an anomaly on the geophysics. As this dig is on private property, it will be
limited to WAG members only. Numbers and parking are restricted so try to share a car if you can
and phone Jan Holland on 01902 562568 if you wish to come.
Shifnal
This old water mill site will probably be investigated in the spring of 2005. Watch this space for
details or phone Jan Holland on 01902 562568.
Field walking
There may be an opportunity to do some field walking in the autumn. Again, watch this space.
